Our Vilnius Laser Dermatology Centre performs chemical skin exfoliation (peeling) with glycolic acid. A chemical peel is a procedure that removes the surface layer of the skin (epidermal cells). This procedure can be used for both facial peeling and body peeling.
Benefits of chemical peels:
- Stimulates skin cell regeneration (renewal);
- prevention of skin diseases;
- faster skin renewal;
- smoother, younger-looking skin;
- Improved skin texture.
This chemical peeling procedure is used in our clinic to:
- improve skin texture (the skin of the face or body becomes smoother and more radiant after the treatment);
- reduce the number of fine lines and wrinkles on the face;
- Reduce uneven pigmentation in both the face and the body;
- treat some forms of youthful acne;
- for the treatment of acne scars.
Our clinic uses advanced chemical exfoliants that work perfectly in the deepest layers of the skin and promote an even distribution of substances in the skin. The effects of facial peels and body scrubs are already noticeable after the first treatment. After 4 to 5 treatments, the skin of the face, head and body becomes:
- brighter and less uneven;
- reduced wrinkles;
- pigment spots are reduced;
- younger looking skin.
Exfoliating the face or exfoliating the body area increases the skin’s elasticity and reduces sun damage. Most often, intense sun exposure causes sensitive, greyish, dull skin. Redness, inflammation, etc. are observed. Facial peels and body peels remove rashes and improve the structural smoothness of the skin, reducing pigmentation and scars.
It is important to be aware that after the peeling procedure, which is influenced by the process, the products, their consistency, slight redness, dryness and flaking may occur during and after the procedure. After a face and body peel, this skin reaction is normal and the symptoms gradually disappear within 3 days. Direct sunlight and sunbeds should be avoided after the facial scrub and body peel. You should also use an anti-UV cream prescribed by your dermatologist.
Benefits of exfoliation
It is not always appropriate for a patient to undergo expensive laser procedures. Many health and beauty problems can be solved and achieved with much simpler methods. This is where peels come in. Only timely prescribed treatment methods give very good results in the long run. The patient can notice a good aesthetic result by spending less money and without worrying himself about expensive procedures.
The main objective of the dermatologist is to choose the right method, i.e. peeling (there are many different types) according to the structure of the skin and the existing problem, mesotherapy, metatherapy, another method or a combination of both.
We work only with certified and tested products from the best companies for skin problems.
Peeling services at the Laser Dermatology Centre are only provided by dermatologists (not cosmetologists), as only a correct assessment of the skin changes can lead to the correct choice of treatment.
