Hair removal

Dark hair on the face and body is a rather unpleasant problem for women. For some women it is genetic, while for others the increased hairiness is the result of hormonal imbalances.
Laser hair removal is the most modern and safe method for removing unwanted hair. It will help you get rid of unwanted hair quickly and painlessly, and make you forget about shaving or waxing every day. Just a few treatments are enough to leave the skin on your face, legs, underarms and bikini area permanently smooth and soft.

BENEFITS OF LASER HAIR REMOVAL

  • The procedure does not cause allergic or inflammatory reactions, does not damage or irritate the skin.
  • Physical sensations during the procedure are tingling-like and cause minimal discomfort.
  • Already after the first treatment, 15-30% of unwanted hair disappears and is no longer regrown.
  • After a few treatments, ingrown hairs and black spots caused by razor blades disappear for good.

LASER HAIR REMOVAL: THE ESSENCE OF THE METHOD

During the laser hair removal procedure, the energy emitted by the laser destroys the skin structures responsible for hair growth.

The energy emitted by the laser does not damage the surrounding tissues. Sapphire optics and cooling protect the skin from the thermal effects of the laser and make the treatment more comfortable.

As the laser beam only affects hair that is in an active growth phase, it is necessary to repeat laser hair removal sessions regularly. Hair growth is cyclical, so it is not possible to remove all the hairs in a single treatment, as some of them are in a passive phase (such dormant hairs are not affected by the laser beam). For this reason, several laser hair removal treatments are recommended to achieve the best cosmetic results. The exact number of treatments is determined individually and depends on the area to be epilated, the skin and the hair type.

EFFECTIVENESS OF LASER HAIR REMOVAL

  • 15-30% of unwanted hair is already gone after the first treatment.
  • Skin irritation caused by shaving blades disappears.
  • The skin becomes smooth as velvet.
  • After 6 treatments, 80% of unwanted hair is gone. Remember that the final result is assessed 2 weeks after the last treatment.

HAIR REMOVAL MAY BE INEFFECTIVE WHEN:

  • Light hair (e.g. light skin, blonde, brown, red hair);
  • Hormonal disorders (endocrine disorders), genetic predisposition to hairiness;
  • When the colour of the hair is almost indistinguishable from the colour of the skin (usually in dark-skinned people);
  • Patient does not follow the recommendations before and after the procedure (hair brushing, etc.).
  • The number of treatments to achieve the desired effect is individual, but the average is 6-8 treatments. Once the effect has been achieved, future maintenance treatments are required, which are carried out 1-2 times a year.

PREPARATION FOR THE TREATMENT

Four weeks prior to the planned treatment, the following is not allowed:

  • Sunbathing, going to the solarium, using self-tanning creams;
  • Use antibiotics of the tetracycline group, sulphanilamides, quinolones;
  • Shaving or other mechanical removal of hair from the area of the body where the procedure is planned.
  • 1-3 days prior to the planned procedure:
  • 3 days before the procedure, it is forbidden to cleanse the epilated area with substances containing alcohol;
  • 1 day before the procedure, the area to be epilated must be shaved;
  • Do not apply any creams or antiperspirants to the area to be epilated 1-2 days before the procedure;
  • The treatment should be carried out on smooth, clean skin with no visible hairs.

AFTERCARE

For two weeks after the procedure, do not:

  • Sunbathing, visiting a solarium;
  • Do not sunbathe in a hot tub;
  • Visit a sauna, a sauna, a swimming pool (with chlorinated water);
  • If necessary, the epilated area can be applied with Bepanthen 5% cream (in the evenings) or any other cream recommended by a specialist.It is advisable to limit the use of cosmetics containing irritants (e.g. exfoliants, substances with alcohol, etc.).It is advisable to apply a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 before going outdoors. After the procedure, sunscreen should be applied for at least 2 weeks.

RECOMMENDATIONS BETWEEN PROCEDURES

It is not recommended to use an epilator, tweezers, wax or use depilatory creams between treatments. Only shaving blades may be used to remove hair.
Recommended interval between treatments: 4-8 weeks.

MINIMUM NUMBER OF TREATMENTS

The results of laser hair removal are individual for each patient. It depends on the hair structure and skin type. On average, 6-8 laser epilation sessions are sufficient to achieve the desired cosmetic effect.
Intervals between treatments:

  • After the 1st treatment: 4 weeks.
  • After the 2nd treatment: 5-6 weeks.
  • After the 3rd treatment: 8-10 weeks.
    Although laser hair removal has many advantages, there are certain diseases and conditions where it is not suitable.

LASER HAIR REMOVAL: PROCEDURE FEATURES (PARAMETERS)

In laser hair removal, individual parameters are set for each patient according to the phototype of the patient’s skin. In our centre, a melaninometer is used to determine the phototype of the skin (before the procedure). This is a device that calculates the concentration of melanin in the skin and helps to determine the exact parameters for the laser procedure. These parameters are based on worldwide medical standards, ensuring an optimal ratio of effectiveness and safety.

Some patients prefer to perform the procedure at the maximum power setting, hoping for the best epilation results. But performing the procedure at maximum power is strictly prohibited! If the selected parameter category exceeds the recommended limits for a particular phototype, it may lead to skin burns and unwanted pigmentation. Remember that the main objective is to achieve cosmetic results that are pleasing to the eye, without causing any consequences and without compromising health.

Our centre, which specialises in laser and general dermatology, is staffed by qualified specialists and uses the latest medical equipment. After your first laser hair removal treatment, you will forget about irritated skin, ingrown hairs, constant shaving with blades or painful waxing. We will be happy to help you have beautiful, smooth skin!

Laser treatments are completely harmless. The laser beam penetrates to a depth of 4 mm and only affects the hair follicle, and then dissipates.

WE OFFER LASER HAIR REMOVAL IN OUR CENTRE IF:

  • Your skin is sensitive and the hairs tend to grow in. Even in sensitive areas, laser hair removal does not traumatize the skin, the treatment does not have to be repeated daily (compared to shaving with a blade), and the hair stops growing in.
  • Dark and thick hairs bother you. The darker the hair, the more effective the treatment. If your hair is extremely light, thin and ‘wispy’ – laser hair removal is not the most suitable method for removing such hair. To find out more about the effectiveness of laser hair removal in your case, please consult the specialists at our centre.
  • You are sensitive to pain. If you are intimidated by monthly waxing with sugar paste or wax, laser hair removal with the new generation of lasers is the preferred method for removing unwanted hair. Bikini waxing takes only 1-2 minutes. These few minutes are definitely more pleasant than, for example, removing bikini hair with wax.
    It is best to schedule the procedure in advance. Hair does not fall out immediately and permanently. The first hairs disappear (fall out) within 7-10 days after the first treatment. To minimise the number of remaining hairs and to slow down the growth of the remaining hairs, a course of several treatments is recommended. Often in dermatology centres, specialists promise that laser hair removal will permanently remove all unwanted hairs. We are frank: no current method in dermatology can remove absolutely all unwanted hair permanently. However, laser hair removal removes most of the unwanted hair (on average about 80%), while the rest becomes thinner and weaker.You will be pleasantly surprised with attractive prices and special offers at our laser hair removal centre. You will be informed in advance about the cost of the procedure and avoid overpaying for additional impulses. The price for each area of the body is fixed and does not depend on the amount of work and time spent on the procedure.
