Acid facial cleansing is a very effective deep cleansing procedure for the face. The treatment uses organic AHA glycolic acid or almond acid (depending on the skin problem) which has strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. The acid facial cleansing removes the top layer of the skin, promotes cell regeneration and stimulates skin renewal. Glycolic acid promotes the healing of acne, prevents the blockage of sebaceous ducts and the formation of new blackheads, stimulates the sebaceous glands, and cleanses pores. It also stimulates the synthesis of collagen and elastin, stimulates the skin’s renewal processes and strengthens the skin’s immunity, making it suitable for older women and men who want to beautify or rejuvenate their complexion.
The treatment is designed for:
- Oily, acne-prone skin;
- Thick, porous skin;
- youthful acne;
- acne scars;
- small wrinkles on the face and neck;
- sagging skin.
You will notice the following skin changes after acid facials:
- Reduced (or disappeared) youthful or other types of acne;
- reduction (or disappearance) of acne scars;
- smoother, firmer skin;
- fading of pigmented spots, darkening;
- brighter, clearer, smoother complexion;
- Reduced fine lines and wrinkles.
The number of treatments depends on the contamination of the facial skin and the problem. Minimum course of treatment 5 – 6 treatments, maximum 10 – 15 treatments. Treatments are carried out regularly, every 7 to 10 days. On arrival at the clinic, the aesthetician will assess your skin problems and recommend the appropriate course of treatments.
After the procedure:
- Do not go to the sauna or the bath before 48 hours after the procedure;
- Avoid sunbeds and prolonged sunbathing for 7 days (pigment spots may appear);
- limit the use of make-up for the first few days after the procedure, do not use untested cosmetic products that have never been used before;
- use of creams with a minimum protection of SPF25 for 7 days.
Contraindications:
- Use of the acne treatment Isotretinoid (brand name Roaccutane) for the last 12 months;
- in case of local infection;
- in case of diabetes;
- haemophilia;
- HIV;
- keloid scars;
- on the same day after a sunbathing session or a visit to a solarium;
- the same day after depilation.
